The idea of Applesource grew out of the frustration Tom and Jill felt when trying to select varieties to plant in their own orchard. Seeing pictures of the apples just wasn't enough, to properly judge an apple you have to both see, touch, and above all, teste it.

From Applesource you can order sampler packs composed of real apples from over fithy different varieties. The contents of the sampler packs varies over the season as new apples become ready for harvest and old ones are sold out.
